8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Account & booking data: 6 years (for legal/financial compliance)

  • Dispute evidence: up to 6 years

  • Inactive accounts: deleted after 24 months of inactivity

  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe

You may request deletion earlier (see Section 11).

We maintain technical and organisational measures including:

10. Host & Guest Responsibilities

GoVenue is not liable for breaches caused by:

  • insecure Host devices,

  • shared passwords,

  • improper data storage by Hosts or Guests.

You have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restrict processing

  • Object to certain processing

  • Port your data to another provider

  • Withdraw marketing consent
